John Abrams D.D.S. --- Dr. Abrams, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, received his Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in Oxford, OH. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society. An active participant in the Colorado Prosthodonic Society, Dr. Abrams has also been an officer in the Denver Academy of Clinical Dentistry and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. As a leader in cosmetic dentistry since 1975, Dr. Abrams has received several accolades including the Miles Markley Award at the Denver Winter Regional Dental Society Conference. Dr. Abrams has been married to his wife, Debbie, a speech/language pathologist, since 1973. They have three children; Julie, an occupational therapist; Laura, a teacher in the Cherry Creek school district; and Andrew, a student at the University Of Colorado. Dr. Abrams is a sports enthusiast. A previously ranked tennis player, John can now be found on the golf course in his spare time. Always the “teacher”, Dr. Abrams has instructed children in tennis, basketball, and spent 20 years coaching soccer. Dr. Abrams has been perfecting cosmetic dental restorations for over 30 years. His patients have included area professional athletes and coaches. Some of our local TV personalities, politicians, authors and models have had his personal touch. Mostly, Dr. Abrams enjoys the excitement our patients exhibit when they see their new smiles.

Bret E. LaFonte, D.D.S. ---Dr. LaFonte is a Colorado native, having graduated from Arapahoe High School in 1981. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Colorado State University in 1986 majoring in Speech Communications. He finished his formal education at the University of Colorado’s School of Dentistry in Denver with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 1993. He joined Dr. Abram’s practice in 1995. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, and the Metro Denver Dental Society. His thirst for learning and desire to provide his patients with the most current techniques, materials, and technologies drives Dr. LaFonte to pursue multiple continuing education opportunities throughout the year. Many of you may remember Dr. LaFonte’s wife, Gayle, who was a dental hygienist in this office for nine years. When not in the office, Dr. LaFonte enjoys spending time with his family. Bret and Gayle have four children: daughter Kendra, identical twin boys Kyle and Dane, and youngest son Cole. They also have two dogs: Molar (a white Maltese) and Odous (a mantle Great Dane). All of the children’s activities keep Dr. LaFonte on the go. He has spent the last decade coaching his children’s various sports teams. When not coaching or shuttling the kids around, Dr. LaFonte enjoys watching the local pro sports teams (don’t get him going about the Broncos!!) and playing the occasional round of golf. Dr. LaFonte’s philosophy to treat each patient like a family member is seen in his gentle and caring chair side manner. Whether you just need a check-up or need more involved dental work, Dr. LaFonte always puts his patient’s best care first.
